Daily Bread Devotional

Bring it to God

By 21 Days of Prayer, Daily Bread No Comments

“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'” – Matthew 6:9-13

Have you ever found yourself lying awake at night, running through a mental list of everything that could go wrong? Most of us have. Worry has a way of filling every quiet moment if we let it. Here is the good news. You do not have to carry it alone. Jesus, in Matthew 6, gave us a model for prayer that covers everything. Our daily needs. Our relationships. Our failures. Our fears. Nothing is off the table. Prayer is not reserved for big, dramatic moments. It is an open invitation to bring every part of your life before God, every single day. When life feels heavy, the most powerful thing you can do is pray. Not because it instantly fixes everything, but because it brings God into the middle of whatever you are facing. That changes things. If you have been carrying something in silence, today is a good day to start talking to God about it. He is not waiting for you to have the right words. He is just waiting for you to come.

Reflection
What is one thing you have been carrying on your own that you have not yet brought to God in prayer?

Quote
“If it’s on your mind, it’s on his heart. There is nothing too big or too small for God.”

Prayer
Father, I bring everything I have been holding onto and lay it at Your feet. Thank You that nothing in my life is too big or too small for You. Teach me to come to You first.
