“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” – Hebrews 11:8
Most of us want the full picture before we take the first step. We want to see the whole staircase before we move. But that is not how faith works. Noah built an ark before a single drop of rain had fallen. Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going. Sarah believed for a child when every natural sign said it was impossible. None of them had the complete picture. They simply trusted the One who did. God’s calling will rarely make sense in the natural. If it did, you would not need faith. And here is something worth sitting with: shortcuts will short-circuit His blessing. The path God has for you is not just about the destination. It is about who you become on the way there. Maybe God has been prompting you toward something and you have been waiting for more clarity, more confirmation, or more comfort. What if the clarity comes after the step, not before it? You do not need to see the whole road. You just need to trust the One who laid it. Take the step. He is already there.
