“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

Sometimes the Christian life can feel like you have been handed a set of instructions and told to figure it out on your own. But that is not the life God designed for you. Before Jesus went to the cross, He made a promise to His followers. He told them He would not leave them without help. He would send someone to be with them, a person, not a force or a feeling, but a real, present, personal guide. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He has been present since creation. He empowered leaders in the Old Testament. He even filled Jesus during His earthly ministry. And right now, He is available to you. This is not a distant, hands-off kind of relationship. The Holy Spirit is not a spiritual GPS that recalculates when you make a wrong turn. He is a companion who walks with you through every moment, every decision, and every hard season of life. You were never meant to do this alone. God did not save you and then step back to watch you struggle. He moved in. He is present. And the depth of what you experience with Him is directly connected to how close you choose to draw to His presence. Today is a great day to simply acknowledge that He is here and to invite Him into your day.

Reflection
In what areas of your life have you been trying to figure things out on your own, when you could be inviting the Holy Spirit to guide you?

Quote
The Holy Spirit doesn’t just want to give you guidance, he wants to be your guide.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, thank You for being present and personal in my life. Help me to stop striving on my own and to lean into Your guidance today. Amen.
