The Lord said to Moses, 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, 4 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, 5 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft. – Exodus 31:1-5
There is a common misconception that the Holy Spirit is mostly for pastors, missionaries, or people in full-time ministry. But that could not be further from the truth. God wants to empower you. Not just on Sunday mornings, but in your workplace, your home, your relationships, and every ordinary moment of your week. The same Spirit who gave boldness to the early church, who gave wisdom to craftsmen building the tabernacle, who empowered leaders to do the impossible, that same Spirit is available to you right now. Maybe you are a parent who feels like you are running on empty. Maybe you are facing a challenge at work that feels bigger than your abilities. Maybe you are in a relationship that requires more patience and grace than you naturally have. You are right. You do not have enough on your own. But the Holy Spirit does. When you invite Him into those moments, He shows up with boldness, wisdom, and ability that goes beyond what you could produce yourself. This is not about becoming superhuman. It is about being Spirit-empowered to fulfill what God has called you to do, right where you are. Do not underestimate what God wants to do through a life that is fully open to His Spirit.
