“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16

As we conclude this journey through the transforming power of grace, let’s focus on how to move forward. Living in grace means getting past who we were and focusing on who God wants us to be. We cannot live life in the rearview mirror, constantly defined by our past mistakes or achievements. God’s grace gives us permission to leave the old behind and embrace the new. But for this transformation to take place, we must give God permission to change everything in our lives. God is a gentleman—He doesn’t force His way in. He stands at the door of our hearts and knocks, waiting for us to invite Him into every area of our lives. The beautiful promise is that when we approach God’s throne of grace, we receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. His grace is sufficient for us, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. Today, choose to live forward in grace. Invite God into those areas you’ve been trying to manage on your own. Let go of who you were, embrace who you are in Christ, and step into who God is making you to be.

Reflection
What areas of your life have you been hesitant to surrender fully to God, and what might change if you invited His transforming grace into those spaces?

We’ve got to move past who we were and focus who God wants us to be. We cannot live life in the rearview mirror.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your transforming grace that gives me a new position, a new identity, and a new process of becoming like You. Help me to stop living in the rearview mirror and instead focus on who You’re making me to be. I invite You into every area of my life today. Transform me by Your grace, for Your glory. Amen.
