“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5
Have you ever felt like your Christian life has become more about surviving than thriving? Many of us accept Christ but then struggle to experience the fullness of what He offers. We fall into patterns of trying to maintain our relationship with God through our own efforts, forgetting the very grace that saved us. God has so much more for us than just getting by. His plan wasn’t simply to give us a ticket to heaven while we trudge through life on earth. He desires for us to experience abundant life now through His transforming grace. Grace is the foundation of our salvation. We didn’t earn our way to God, and we can’t maintain our relationship with Him through our own efforts either. The same grace that saved us is what sustains us and transforms us daily. This truth should bring tremendous freedom to our hearts. Today, take a moment to reflect on how you’ve been approaching your relationship with God. Have you been trying to earn His favor through your own efforts? Or are you resting in His grace, allowing it to transform you from the inside out?
Reflection
In what areas of your life have you been trying to earn God’s approval rather than resting in His grace?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace that not only saved me but continues to transform me. Help me to stop striving in my own strength and instead rest in what You’ve already done. Show me what it means to truly live in the fullness of Your grace. Amen.
