For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. – Ephesians 2:18

Have you ever felt distant from God? Perhaps you’ve wondered if He’s truly accessible or if your past mistakes have disqualified you from His presence. Many of us struggle with these thoughts, creating barriers to the very relationship God desires to have with us. The beautiful truth is that God has made Himself completely accessible through Jesus Christ. We don’t need special qualifications or perfect lives to approach Him. In fact, He invites us to come boldly, just as we are. Prayer is the bridge that connects us to God. It’s not meant to be complicated or intimidating. It’s simply conversation with our Creator who loves us deeply and wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. When we pray, we’re not bothering God or interrupting His important work—we’re engaging in the very relationship He created us for. Today, consider what barriers might be keeping you from a vibrant prayer life. Are you viewing God as distant or unapproachable? Are you carrying shame that makes you want to hide? Remember that through Christ, the veil has been torn, and you have complete access to your heavenly Father who eagerly awaits your voice.

Heavenly Father, thank you for making a way for me to come directly into your presence. Forgive me for the times I’ve viewed you as distant or unapproachable. Help me to see you as you truly are—a loving Father who welcomes me regardless of my past or present struggles. Today, I choose to approach you boldly, knowing that through Jesus, I have complete access to your heart. Amen.
