“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4

Just as our bodies need daily nourishment, our spirits require regular feeding through God’s Word and presence. We wouldn’t expect to stay physically healthy by eating only once a week, yet sometimes we try to sustain our spiritual lives with just a weekly church service. True spiritual growth happens through daily connection with Jesus, our Bread of Life. When we make time each day to read Scripture, pray, and simply be in His presence, we begin to experience the abundant life He promises. This isn’t about religious duty – it’s about nurturing a life-giving relationship that sustains us through every season.

Reflection
What practical steps can you take to make daily time with God a priority in your life?

Quote
We are living spiritually malnourished because we are living Sunday to Sunday.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my daily bread. Create in me a hunger for Your Word and presence. Help me prioritize our relationship above all else. Amen.
