‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’ – Matthew 5:14-16

Once we’ve experienced the transforming power of Jesus’ light, we become carriers of that same light. Like a torch passing from one person to another, His light spreads through us to touch others’ lives. This isn’t about being perfect or having all the answers. It’s about allowing the hope, love, and grace we’ve received to overflow into the lives of others. Whether through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or simply being present with someone in their darkness, we have the privilege of sharing His light. Remember, you don’t have to create the light – you simply need to reflect the light you’ve received.

Reflection
In what specific ways could you be a carrier of God’s light to someone who is struggling in darkness this week?

Prayer
Lord, thank you for making me a carrier of your light. Help me to shine brightly in the dark places around me. Use me to bring hope and healing to others. Amen.
