It is easy to think that purpose only happens in big, dramatic moments. A mission trip. A ministry role. A life-changing conversation. But what about a Tuesday afternoon at work? What about the neighbor you wave to every morning? What about the difficult coworker you are not sure how to love? Here is something worth sitting with: God has placed you exactly where you are, on purpose, for a purpose. That job is not just a paycheck. That neighborhood is not just an address. Those relationships are not accidents. In Matthew 4, Jesus called ordinary fishermen and said, “Come, follow me.” He did not wait until they had impressive resumes or spiritual credentials. He met them right where they were and invited them into something bigger. When we show up to our everyday lives with open eyes and willing hearts, something shifts. The ordinary becomes significant. A hallway conversation becomes an opportunity to encourage. A shared lunch becomes a moment of genuine connection. A hard day at work becomes a chance to reflect something different. You do not have to go somewhere special to make a difference. You just have to be present, on purpose, wherever God has you right now. That is where the mission begins.
