“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Isolation is one of the quietest traps there is. It does not always feel dangerous at first. Sometimes it even feels safer than being known. But over time, disconnection has a way of making small doubts feel enormous and small struggles feel impossible. Ecclesiastes 4 puts it plainly. Two are better than one. When one falls, the other can help them up. That is not just practical wisdom. It is a picture of what God designed community to be. Being connected to other believers is not just a nice addition to your faith. It is a form of protection. When you are surrounded by people who pray for you, encourage you, and speak truth into your life, you are insulated against the lies that isolation tends to amplify. You were not built to do this alone. And the good news is, you do not have to. Community is available to you. It might take a step of vulnerability to pursue it, but that step is worth it. Stay connected. Show up. Let people in. Your faith will be stronger for it.

Reflection
In what area of your life have you been trying to go it alone, and how might inviting someone else in change the outcome?

Quote
“It’s the difference between living isolated and living insulated. In isolation, we are all on our own. But when we are connected to community, we are insulating ourselves that we have people who can pray for us and connect with us and to build us and to encourage us and pray for one another.”

Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to pursue connection rather than retreat into isolation, and surround me with people who will point me back to You. Make me that kind of person for someone else too.
