“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” – 2 Peter 1:3

Spiritual growth involves moving beyond seeking God just for His benefits to loving Him for who He is. While it’s natural to start our faith journey by experiencing God’s blessings, true maturity comes when we learn to worship and trust Him regardless of circumstances. This transformation happens as we spend time in His presence, study His Word, and allow His Spirit to work in our hearts. When we reach this level of maturity, our faith becomes more stable and less dependent on visible results or immediate answers to prayer.

Reflection
What motivates your relationship with God – His benefits or His character?

Quote
Unless we grow from that place of immaturity, God, what do I get out of this? Our faith will die because he will only be as good to you as his last miracle.

Prayer
Lord, help me grow in spiritual maturity. Teach me to love You for who You are, not just what You can do for me. Deepen my faith and understanding of Your character. Amen.
